Fixed listview filter search bar (or Fixed ui-listview-filter)

All I want is to have the ui-listview-filter from listview at a fixed position at the top of a page, just after the header.

The structure is somewhat something like:

<section data-role="page" id="page1">
<header data-role="header" data-position="fixed">
<h1> FOO </h1>
</header>
<div data-role="content">
<ul data-role="listview" data-filter="true" data-filter-theme="d" data-theme="d" data-divider-theme="d" data-autodividers="true"></ul>
</div>
</section>

and I have added

.ui-listview-filter {
position: fixed;
width: 100%;
z-index: 2;
}

But sometimes on Safari or on iPad, when I'm scrolling my listview I see the the listview-filter (search bar) getting stuck at random positions, but not on the top of the page as expected.

What am I doing wrong ?

So, I have experienced recently how slow a listview is perfoming on iPads, iPhones, etc, and I thought there was something wrong with my offline web "app" example.

But then I tried the lists-performance example (http://jquerymobile.com/test/docs/lists/lists-performance.html), and I was surprised to realize how slow it is as well.

The issues is something like the one describe at this topic --> https://forum.jquery.com/topic/possible-causes-of-extremely-slow-keyboard-in-ipad-phonegap-app, but even on the regular browser (no phonegap): "the ipad keyboard sticks and key strokes have a major delay between keystroke character and showing up in the input.".

I don't find it THAT slow when scrolling, but then when I use the filtering it is super slow.

Is anyone else facing this? Is there a way to work-around this somehow?
