re-posting of superfish disappear option

i am re-posting this question since it accidentally got cut into two threads.

i wish to have superfish disappear when i click a link. but when i click on one of the links in this script, i get this error:

here is the script boiled down to its simplest elements

making superfish menu shrink back to normal size

hi - what is the best way to make the superfish menu go back to normal?

i know i could set the "delay" setting low, but that still forces my users to first move off the menu.

is there a way to make the menu disappear without moving my cursor? perhaps clicking on a link to make a call to a function that would make it shrink back to the normal size?

hello all -

first off, i am VERY impressed with superfish!

is there a function or some way that i can call to make the menu disappear?

when i click an item in the menu, i want to make the menu disappear without having to move my mouse off the menu.

hello all (newbie here)

in my situation, $(this) contains a nice chunk of html code which i need to parse.

i need to extract all the display text associated with <a> tags that are embedded inside of <li> tags.

i know this should be very simple!

i tried both of of these (below) which display the html, but i cant figure out how to parse it from there.

$(this>'li'>'a').each(function(index) {
alert(index + ': ' + this.innerHTML );
});
$.each(this, function(index) {
alert(index + ': ' + this.innerHTML );
});

the html inside of $(this) looks something like this:
<ul>
<li>
<a href='#'>Item-One</a>
<ul>......</ul>
</li>
<li>
<a href='#'>Item-Two</a>
<ul>..............</ul>
</li>
</ul>

any help is greatly appreciated!

hello all (first time posting in jQuery)

up front, Superfish is very wonderful! its incredible how easy it is for a technically-challenged person like myself to get a nice staircase menu going!

my problem: i am using Superfish for a very large project with hundreds of items. many of the items toward the bottom of the page open beyond the bottom of the webpage.

is there any way to:

1) maybe have the ones toward the bottom open "upward" rather than downward"?

2) maybe be able to have two rows and/or columns?

3) can horizontal and vertical be "mixed"? it seems like the embedded <ul> tag class is ignored.

or, is there another suckerfish-based alternative i might want to consider?
