Best Place for JavaScript in AJAX Requests

Where in the code is the best place to put page specific JavaScript code when doing AJAX requests and transitions (both regular <a> links and <form> submissions)? From what I read, only the <body> of the request is used/replaced with such links so I assume <head> is a bad idea. Just in the <body> or <div data-role="page">? Just don't want it to get lost between requests. Thanks

Listview Filter within a Form?

So I'm trying to enable the Listview Filter within an HTML form but doing so creates nested forms causing other issues. Specifically, then the jQuery Validation plugin get's the wrong form element (even though I specified the correct form ID). Has anyone else run into this and has a workaround? Thanks

Listview List-Divider Icon

Anyone know the best way to add an icon to a list-divider? Taking a look at the code, icons are only added to links automatically. However, they are wrapped and classes assign that relate to links specifically. So I didn't know if someone had already figured out the CSS needed to mimic icons in a list-divider. Thanks!

Using :first Selector with .prevAll() and Multiple Elements

So I've Googled the .prev(".class") issue and found the solution, .prevAll(".class:first"). However, that doesn't seem to work with multiple matched elements. The :first selector seems to be applied to the entire list at the end, what I would expect .prevAll(".class").first() to do. What I would rather have happen is the selector be applied to each element in the "result set".

Does this seem to be a bug or rather just how jQuery works?

What happens is that the alert message will only have "A Divider" when I would expect it to have "A DividerC Divider". Thoughts? Thanks

List Item's Divider Selector

This is related to jQuery Mobile but specific to a jQuery selector. Is it possible to have a selector find a specific list-item's divider (if one)? For example;
1. <ul data-role="listview">
2. <li data-role="list-divider">A List Divider</li>
3. <li><a href="#">A List Item</a></li>
4. <li><a href="#">B List Item</a></li>
5. <li data-role="list-divider">FIND ME</li>
6. <li><a href="#">Another Item</a></li>
7. <li data-important="true"><a href="#">GET MY DIVIDER</a></li>
8. <li><a href="#">Bnother Item</a></li>
9. <li data-role="list-divider">C List Divider</li>
10. <li><a href="#">A List Item</a></li>
11. <li><a href="#">B List Item</a></li>
12. </ul>
So here we have one list item that has a data attribute of "data-important". The selector should find this list-item's divider. Since this isn't a hierarchical structure it's tough to find the "parent" without finding other dividers. JQuery Mobile figures this out with a JavaScript loop going backwards through the list, however I'm wondering if it can be done with a Selector instead.
I've tried something like "li:jqmData(role=list-divider):has(~ li:jqmData(important=true))" but that obviously gets all dividers above the list-item marked important.

If needed, I can give a reasoning for this feature too. Thanks for any suggestions.

FYI, I was looking at the "all forums" page and noticed that the jQM forums (2 total) show the standard jQuery icon/logo. Thought it would be a good idea to switch those to the jQM icon, since jQuery UI and QUnit have their own. Just an idea.

Keep Panel Open

What would the best way be to keep the panel open in jQM 1.3? I'd like to do so if the screen is large enough, such as a tablet or desktop. One thought would be to just call the open() method for each page load but that would display the animation as well. I would like to make it "look" like a seamless transition. Thanks for any suggestions!
