Autocomplete and custom _renderItem 1.10.0 rc and b

There is an error in the actual demo... view console to see. so you can reproduce using the demo's

The custom autocomplete demo is rather simple...! please try with something which isn't default and see that it does not work.

nothing in the custom section is rendered.... error

"Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property '_renderItem' of undefined"

no modifications to my code and this works fine in 1.8.3 and 1.9.2 with backward comp disabled.

trying to up to 1.10.0 rc and i can not.

no response... literally compare 1.9.2 to 1.10.0rc Auto complete - custom display...

and see the problem..... could someone at least confirm this has been logged a an issue!

If you check the console for http://jqueryui.com/autocomplete/#custom-data, it is currently throwing an error:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property '_renderItem' of undefined custom-data.html:66

YOU CAN NOT USE THAT LINK..

AS THE BACKING TO THAT PAGE IS STILL 1.9.2

DO THE SAME THING BUT WITH 1.10.0

NOTE - THE DECRIPTION IS MISSING on 1.10.0 so it appears to work..... but it is NOT

THIS HAS NOW MADE ITS WAY TO THE FINAL AS WELL

ie for those not getting this try and read the description in the auto complete when you type say "j", its will show Java, and the description will be missing.... which is the point of the custom, demo...

please open the custom-data demo example!!!!

P.S. sorry for the red and bold, but i tried to type this out twice last night and both times it said it was successful, but both times nothing was posted.

Have you filed a bug report? That will go direct to the jQueryUI developers.

seabizkit is correct about the problem. The demos are still using the old syntax for referencing autocomplete data that has been removed in jQuery UI v1.10.

I have the same problem and noticed (as you did) that the online example is broken as well.
