I am creating an app where I would like to swipe from one page to
another. I tried using an Open Source jquery plugin I found called dragend and although it worked while I was
testing it on my simulation, it didn't work when I transferred it to
my android phone.
I am probably not googling right because I can't find anything
online on how to using drag swipe for transition. Can anyone point out
how I can achieve this or give some samples from other online posts? I
just need an idea on how to begin then I should be able to take it
from there :)
something when the user swipes right on the page
= $(this); // It's convenient to have this in a variable
You should not assume that
some random jQuery or jQuery UI plugin will work with jQuery Mobile.
Always check the plugin's documentation to see if it is supported.
It will often require some work-around, or just won't work at all.
And you should always first
ask yourself if the plugin duplicates some built-in jQuery Mobile
functionality, and, thus, may not be needed at all.
Phonegap uses jquery mobile.
might like to use, or none.
Did it start shipping with jQuery Mobile already installed by default?
I guess I phrased that wrong. What I meant to say was I
am using jQuery Mobile with PhoneGap.
Anyway, thanks for the tip. That is exactly how I initially started
implementing the swipe. However, I decided that the user experience
would be much nicer if I can make the page actually move along with
the finger as you swipe. You know ... like most apps these
days. That's what I was trying to ask above.
Note that JQM pages pass through several events i.e. having
two"visible" pages at the same time is almost impossible due
tomany factors. What you can do is within one page, create several
"page-like" divs and navigate between them like a carousel
