How do I add a jQuery Content Slider to my site?

Hi All,

How do I add a jquery "content slider" to the main page of my ning.com site? I have a way to upload files but I am not quite sure what goes where. I can also add code directly on the ning site using an html box and add css to another part of the site. I know a little html and I have downloaded the "easyslider plugin folder"

Here are some sample jquery sliders .

I think I will use the jquery easyslider. I would like to feature blog posts on my site that includes a photo and text link. Is this something I can do or similar?

Can you tell me where and what needs to be uploaded and where with this easyslider folder? even a few hints would be helpful. I looked at the tutorial but I have no idea where I need to drop the code.

I would recommend learning by getting a static page "working" with your slider. It looks like the site added the code and html content directly into the Ning text box. Take a look at the code on their site versus yours.

Thanks so much sunny.beach great idea I will look at their code vs mine and see if I can pick out what code they added and see if I can get it to work on mine then i can take it from there. Thanks Again.

you will need to create a script include on your page to include the jquery code libary...

you will also need to include the library for the plugin in the same fashion.

if you search for "using jquery plugins" you will find many basic examples of what to do. And the previous response of using a "sandbox" or static page is always excellent.
