issue with 2.1.0 and ie

Summary: package id="jQuery" version="2.1.0" targetFramework="net45" />
NuGet 2.1.0 breaks ASP.NET MVC5 applications in vs2013 editions but apparently only for ie.
Sorry but i do not know the jQuery community -- i'm reporting this here in the hope that someone (or many someones) can fix this in a timely fashion.
FWIW, i realize browser specific issues are substantially more nightmarish than browser generic issues.
