Jquery ui (menu) and masterpage (asp.net)

Hi all,
I want to create a menu in a page using a masterpage.
When i include the jquery.js and jquery-ui.js file in the masterpage, my menu is not built correctly in my page.
When i include the js files in my page, i have other problems.
Do you have an idea why i have this problem?
I use Shinkansen, but i have also tried without and my problem is still there.
Can you help me?
