JqueryMobile input mask

Anybody using a plugin for input masking (like "999-999-9999" ) ? First couple I've tried don't seem to work.

I'm not using any plugin, but do it as follows:
Using this style,
- <style>
- :invalid { border-color: #ff0000; border-width: 2px;}
- </style>
And this for my input,
- <input type="tel" placeholder="999-999-9999" pattern="\d{3}[-\s]\d{3}[-\s]\d{4}.*?$" />

That's pretty cool!! THANKS!
But, it doesn't force the issue. I guess I could use that and the lost focus event to test then keep them in there.

How about handling key events? Invalid chars can be ignored completely...

[Key events] - yeah, well, that's what an input mask plugin would do. I was hoping to not have to recreate 1984 technology (dbase PICTURE) -

lol OK. You mentioned you have already checked for plugins which didn't seem to help. I've not sought such plugins till now. The visual indicators should be good enough till you get a "good" plugin to do this for you.

I was developed simple and easy masks on input field to US phone format jquery-input-mask-phone-number
Simple Add jquery-input-mask-phone-number plugin into your HTML file and call usPhoneFormat method.
$(document).ready(function () {
$('#yourphone').usPhoneFormat({
format: 'xxx-xxx-xxxx',
});
});
