I kind of see your point. From my work I would like there to be some kind of best practise tutorial out there that will get linked to as a bug free standard method. Or some documentation on do's and don'ts.

While I can organise to get my pages into a single html file I am struggling to get some common elements like nav bars and footers to be common, they need to exist as static copies. I wanted to use a common nav indicator and thought canvas would be ideal, the problem is canvas would exist many times when it needs to be a single implementation.

I might try a floating layer anchored to the base of the viewport but its against the regular footer functionality.

For your problem Stefan do you have an example link for us ? I would like to see the problem myself as I think I will get here some point soon.

there is a problem with the back button handling and mixing single page and multi page templates.
I have made a small example that demonstrates it:

The Problem is that when linking from an single page to an multi page you have to use data-ajax="false" but that also prevents that the page goes to the history stack.
So it would be better to split up the behaviour data-history="true" and data-ajax="false".

Any comments or thoughts ?
