Prolems with $.mobile.loading - or Page transition

Hi,

I have been using JQM for some time and I really like it, buy I have from day one had issues on the Working spinner between pages..

Now when I started researding on iPhone 5 I might have an indication.. The Transition goes white (Show the native HTML pahe) for sometime when I do a search in the page load..

My pageload event looks like this:

Should I use this in another way ? or What am I doing wrong.

I don't really understand. You are trying to get the loading to show when you first show your page? What is the problem?

See my fiddle example.

If you want text see my initialization under the mobileinit event. This is in the HTML and set before loading JQuery Mobile JS file. If you don't want the message ignore this section.

Thanks for your reply..

My problem is the actual change page. The Code sample is what I do in the PageShow event.

The idear is that I do a new search every time I enter this page, and I would like the Waiting message when the search goes on. but the code I show does not do it.

On Android it just wait on the previous page while the search goes on.

On iPhone 5 is actually shows a blank screen while the search is going..

Maybe I am using the PageShow event the wrong way.. I am not sure. this is what I am trying to understand.

OK I think I finally understand what is going on..
It has to do with the DOM not is releases ins a operation like the one I do, and when the DOM is releassde then the Hide command has allready happend.

I see two solutions on this..
1) Run the commands Asyncrioonious using setTimeout.

$.mobile.loading( 'show' );
setTimeout(function(){
<insert you function call here>
$.mobile.loading('hide');
},0);

2) I have not tried it but you should be able to call the $.mobile.changepage:

$.mobile.changePage("#page_direction", {changeHash: false, showLoadMsg : true});

Thanks to haga0054 and other in the forum for finally letting me see the light
