Have been using the swipeLeft and swipeRight events and I find the X coordinate change is too low and triggers unwanted events. 

Easy to amend in the jQM source but I think they should become parameters which can be set externally

Math.abs( start.coords[0] - stop.coords[0]) > 150 && Math.abs( start.coords[1] -stop.coords[1]) < 75 )

150 works better than 30, which is too low if you are using swipe on a scrolling page
