You're looking in the wrong place for 1.2.0 documentation. It's here:

You're looking at preliminary documentation for a future version, which will likely be 1.3.0. 1.2.0 does not have a table widget. Did you notice "test" in the URL?

It's a bit confusing because the banner on the demo still says 1.2.0.

That is confusing, because a simple search on Google for 'jquery mobile' returned that link as the first one.
