[validate] Issue with jQuery 1.5, $.getJSON, and validate plugin?

I'm using version 1.7 of the validate plugin from http://bassistance.de/jquery-plugins/jquery-plugin-validation/.

I find that when I remove the script tag which includes the validate plugin, the callback parameter is not added, and the function behaves properly.
