vertical menu, with a vertical sub-menus - under the menu items

I am new user of jQuery and jQuery UI.

I start using the menu widget, and everything work fine. I created a vertical menu with a vertical sub-menus (On the right).

I would like to know how to show the sub-menu items under their menu item, that is to say how to put them under instead instead of putting them to the right. It seems that position property should do it?.

A simple example will be helpfull.
