Perhaps I need an eventListener for the "load" or "append" event of the destination div? Obviously the above code is missing something. Any hinters would permit me to sleep ealier tonight LOL! Thx for guiding me towards the right method-event! ;-) - dan
What is missing to make this work so that this group of checkboxes, divided by dynamically-changed class-based parents, act like two separate groups controlled independantly by their master checkbox? Thx for helpful input. - dan
Filter method can be used as this code will only be available for recent modern browsers including IE9+ .

UPDATE: I got this function but it's not triggering the matching link. I gather I may have to find each link before any of them can be targeted?
Maybe reversing the order of this jsFiddle would do?
- $("option").change(function(event){ //when option is selected
- event.preventDefault();
- $("a.track").attr(name='$(this).val()').trigger("click");
