What's the correct way to link to the same page multiple times?

I'm trying to have a single page that can show the same type of data (lets say fruits). Then I want to load this page anywhere in my website hierarchy but each time with different parameters.

I have my main page like the following with two links to the same page show.html:

A click on each of the two buttons will create a new instance of the page show.html in the DOM. All of the items in show.html therefore will have duplicate ID's in the DOM.

In my javascript I want to dynamically fill the show.html page:

Now the first time show.html loads everything is fine. However the second time everything in show.html is loaded twice and the DOM includes many duplicate ID's.

Is there a way to remove the first page from DOM before loading the new one?

Is there a better approach that will do what I'm trying to achieve here?

Note: I already tried removing previous instances of show pages when loading a new one. It works as far as showing the second page is concerned. But there is a problem when the first page needs to be shown for the second time, after being manually removed.

I think the reason is jQuery mobile seems to think the first page is already loaded, despite the fact that we manually removed it. So it doesn't fully reload the first page when accessed again. I'm talking about this sequence of navigation: Home -> Apples -> Back to home -> Oranges -> Back to home -> Apples (Here you get a defected page).

Are BlackBerry OS 6 & 7 devices really "A-grade" platforms?

When I asked in BlackBerry forums if there was a jQuery mobile + WebWorks demo for BB OS6 OS7 devices, I got no reply.

Trying different demos on an OS7 device, for example a jQuery Mobile demo made for playbook, I see problems: bad performance, unresponsive UI and bugs (e.g. back button press would always exit the app).

However on the jQuery mobile website's list of supported platforms BlackBerry OS 6.0 and 7.0 are in the list of:

"A-grade - Full enhanced experience with Ajax-based animated page transitions."

Is this really true? If OS6 and OS7 devices were really tested, where is the test app? Which tricks were used to get it working smoothly on those devices?

"mobileinit" doesn't get called

This code simply doesn't run:

$(document).bind("mobileinit", function() {
// Code that configures JQM
$.mobile.defaultPageTransition = 'none';
});

I tested this on Chrome (latest version), Ripple v0.9.1 and on a BlackBerry bold 9790 running OS7.0.
None of them run the code to configure page transitions. I use both on() and bind() methods to listen on the mobileinit event.

How to download jQuery mobile demo app source files?

I'm looking at:

http://jquerymobile.com/demos/1.1.0/

I want to download the source files so I can build a Blackberry WebApp. Is there a way to the source files?

In JQM's GitHub the demo files seem different. For example every page links to the script in "js/" which is generated by "js/index.php".

Note: I replaced that PHP script with "jquery.mobile-1.1.0.min.js" but on my BlackBerry phone I see errors on some pages, a too wide home page, and bad animated page transitions - against the claim that jQuery mobile is grade A on Blackberry OS 7.0.

Linking with Ajax: What happens under the hood?

There are three ways to link pages within a jQuery mobile web app as described

here :

1. Linking within a multi-page document

2. Linking without Ajax that cause a full page refresh

3. Default link behavior: Ajax

I want to know what exactly goes on when using the number 3 approach above. As used in jQM docs demo:
1. <a href="docs/about/intro.html">Intro to jQuery Mobile</a>
For example it seems that javascripts of the second referred HTML wont be loaded. Does this mean that all JS should be included in the first main page so they will be loaded at start up?

Is there a doc that explains what goes under the hood when an external page is loaded in place via Ajax?
