The docs for toggle appear to be the wrong way round..

Hello. I know this is not directly jQuery, but I've recently started to use jsFiddle and would like to supply a
link to a recent fiddle in a post.

How do I save it and get it's url so I can then move on to something else? Thanks, Andy.

If I have a set of elements with a click event I want to show them all except the clicked one. I have this currently:

1. <button class="myClass">First</button>
2. <button class="myClass">Second</button>
3. <button class="myClass">Third</button>
4. 
   
5. $('.myClass').click( function() {
6.     $('.myClass').show();
7.      $('.myClass').eq($(this).index()).hide();
8. });

but I would prefer to show all the buttons except this one, before hiding this one. (It seems messy to me
currently .)

Is there a neater way to do this? Andy. Fiddle is here.

This is not a question, but a point worth emphasising.

When naming variables I often see people using names such as 'url', 'width' and function names such as 'hide()', etc.

I would encourage people to avoid this practice! Although they are not necessarily reserved words or invalid names, they can cause very hard to find errors. In particular, they may work well in one browser, but cause strange effects in another browser. In particular, if you name a function, for example, 'hide()' it is possible that you will hide or overwrite the jQuery hide() method.

For example, someone couldn't discover the cause of a problem in IE (as usual). The problem was that they were using a variable name 'class'. IE didn't offer any sensible error message, and the only way I discovered the problem was by noting that the word was in a slightly different colour within my editor.

Hello. I'm trying to have an effect happen after an effect for some other elements has finished.

1. $(document).ready(function() {
2.     $("#about_div").toggle(function() {
3.         $(".work_divs").slideUp(600);
4.         $(this).slideDown();

I've tried

1. $(document).ready(function() {
2.     $("#about_div").toggle(function() {
3.         $(".work_divs").slideUp(600,function() {
4.             $("#about_div").slideDown(); }   // can't use this - it refers to .works_div?
5.          );

and a couple of variations. I increased the duration to slow it down (so I could see what's happening) but the effects occur simultaneously.

Added: Actually, the slideUp seems to happen after the slideDown.
