Using jQuery
I have a question about programming style.
Which code is better and why?
$("#testdiv").empty().append("<div>Test 123</div>");
OR
$("#testdiv").html("<div>Test 123</div>");
?
In my case i need to clear the node before i insert it, so i would like to know which code is better or faster?

Using jQuery
Hallo,
there is a problem with internet explorer 7, 8 and 9.
I tested it successfuly with Firefox (version 1.5 - 10), Iron, Opera and Internet Explorer 10.
function AjaxApiPost(filepath, divId, parameters)
{
$.ajax({
type:"POST",
url:filepath,
data:parameters,
success:
function(result){
document.getElementById(divId).innerHTML=result;
},
dataType: "html"
});
};
I debugged this code with IE9 and it return an error on line 9.
I replaced line 9 with the following:
$("#"+divid).val(result);
This works also with all browsers except IE9!
Can someone say me how to use jQuery's AJAX that works with IE 8 and 9?
