I really appreciate the email notifications that have started coming through in the past few days. It really helps me scan through the enormous number of messages and replies that are posted on the jQuery Forum every day.
I was wondering if someone from the Zoho team could take a look at streamlining the email message body a bit. It would make scanning them even quicker. Currently the message body begins with something like this:
Something like this would be much better, IMO:Hi kswedberg,
[somebody] has made a new post titled [Lorem Ipsum].
The message has been included below.

Hi folks,Someone on Twitter just alerted me to an error in one of the attribute selectors: ~= .According to the W3C [1]: E[foo~="bar"] an E element whose "foo" attribute value is a list of space-separated values, one of which is exactly equal to "bar"So given $('[class~=bar]') , the following should match:class="foo bar" , class="bar" , class= "baz foo bar"but these should not match:class="foobar" class="barfoo" class="foo barbaz"Currently, jQuery is treating ~= the same as *= , which is clearly incorrect, in line 347 of selector.js:(type == "*=" || type == "~=") && z.indexOf(m[5]) >= 0I have a couple ideas for dealing with the two attribute selectors separately. I'm sure they can be improved on greatly. Just wanted to let you know that I posted a new tutorial on

shows how to use .clone(true) to clone events along with elements, and
then it explains event re-binding and unbinding with a quick look at
event namespacing as well. I tagged it as Intermediate to Advanced,
but my ability to judge difficulty level isn't very good anymore.

Wanted to let you know that I released a new version (0.9.5) of the
clueTip plugin at http://plugins.jquery.com/project/cluetip/

* added clickThrough option to allow click to go to page, even if href
and tipAttribute are equal.
* added experimental mouse tracking option
* added simple/experimental delayedClose option to allow auto-closing
of clueTip after given number of milliseconds.

* added support for bgiframe plugin. When the bgiframe plugin is

interval in hoverIntent.
* fixed bug where hoverIntent's timeout setting wasn't working with

One thing I'm not sure about is how I'm stripping out certain elements
from ajaxed files before displaying the contents in a tooltip. Here is
what I'm doing (it looks pretty ugly):

Kelvin Luck's plugins are the only ones I saw from a cursory skim through the list that are taking advantage of them.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>So, I'm curious. What do more seasoned plugin developers recommend for tracking bugs and feature requests? Why is hardly anyone using these on the plugin pages? Is there something better out there that others are using? It's seems a shame not to use what looks like a nice tool. But before I jump in and start using it for my own plugin, I thought I'd seek the perspective of others.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>As I've been working on the clueTip plugin, one of the hardest things for me has been to keep track of what people want out of it and what they're finding wrong with it.
