.accordion( "option", "active" ); always return null

.accordion( "option", "active" ); always return null

Hi, I have this problem. I'm unable to get the active accordion panel because the function always return "null".
I try to google and it seems a bug but I think that is already correct. I'm using ui 1.7.2 and jquery 1.3.2.
