addClass with attribute slow?

Welcom!

I am a newbie in jquery. I was wondering if is it possible to addClass with some time attribute. I do not want to addClass imidiately, I want it to wait in time.

I want to make an opacity in css but it must be very slowly. Can anybody help my. How to solve it?
