Ajax Same orgin policy
I am using AJAX to pass a variable to a aspx file on another domain on the same pc. In my test environment this works great.
On my production machine it doesn't nothing happens. I don't have anyerror trapping in the AJAX statement.
This is a custom webpage speaking to homeseer homeautomation software, so if it all worked a light would come on or off.
The both websites are on different port numbers
I believe that this is an issue with same orgin policy.
My developement machine is win7 xampp(for custom website) and browsers firefox,ie,chrome all work straight out of the box.
My production machine is xp xampp(for custom website) and browser firefox,ie and chrome.
What can I do to verify it's same orgin policy as the issue?
How do I handle this?
why does it work in the test area?
