autocomplete

Hi everyone

I have been playing with this jquery autocomplete for a few hours now and have not seen how to get the results from the search back to php in a variable.
I have been learning php for a few months now but am completly new to javascript
Could someone please give me an example of how this can be done to work with this demo http://jquery.bassistance.de/autocomplete/demo/
