I'm currently developing a site that makes heavy use of the thickbox plugin.

I'm aware it's not being actively developed any longer and I have the opportunity to "reset" everything I use (total markup overhaul)

There are a lot of modal plugins. Which is a good thickbox replacement? Which are actively maintained?

I'm a big fan of assigning a class to an href to queue the modal, this would make transitioning a snap.
