Calendar component

Hi,
there is a calendar component on the roadmap. Is that supposed to be
something like Google's Calendar component? Or just a datepicker?
Anyway, what is the status of it? Who is working on it - I found
"Marc" on the project plan. I need a not-only-datepicker calendar for
a current project, therefore I could provide a lot of feedback and
specs.
