Can effects be added to jQuery Cycle Plugin?

Can effects be added to jQuery Cycle Plugin?

I would very much like to have an image flip effect option within jQuery Cycle. I have in mind something like the effect produced by jQuery jFlip plugin but this does not cycle.
Is this idea a possibility?
