Can the Sortable be used in div's rather than li's

Good Day,
I have an in-house endeavor and want to use Sortable so that the users
can re-arrange some things in the UI. the problem is that these items
are in <DIV> instead of an <LI>.
How can I make the Sortable work in <DIV>
