i am looking for a plugin that does the following. let's say i have a main navigation on my webpage that looks somewhat like this:



nothing special so far, 5 buttons, you can click on them and get to your desired page. now i want some additional information to be displayed when the user HOVERS (!) over the menu buttons. like this:


the information-field expands downwards, overlapping the content of the actual page. So you get a preview of the page you want to navigate to and can already choose some sub-menu-items (or anything else i want to display in this layer). remember: this is an hover-effect. If the user CLICKS on that menu-item he is actually hovering, he still gets to the actual page. i think i don't have to mention that the info-layer stays there when the user hovers over it.

to make that point clear, another image: the information-layer is visible as long as the user is in the area that is marked in red:


when the user leaves that area, the information-layer closes.

oh, and ALL of the menu-items have this information layer, it's always displayed at the same position (but with different content depending on the menu-item).

does anyone know if there is something like this already? i have searched for three days now and need your help on this issue.
