Collapsable Tabs not working

I have been trying to get the collapsable tabs working.
I have even tried a demo page just copying the code from the working page on the JQUERY UI site...

It still is not working for me
page shows all 3 sections of text that are to be revealed by clicking on tabs.
They do not collapse.
page moves to the selected extra text but others displayed also
