complex variables (SOLVED)

complex variables (SOLVED)

Aloha, I am trying to use jQuery and Greasemonkey to make client side changes to a site but am having problems with getting my variables setup right..

Here is a page I am trying to make changes to...
Fanfiction Story

Here is the part I am working with...you can find it near the top of the page.

Rated: Fiction T - English - Adventure/Angst - Harry P. - Chapters: 7 - Words: 43,822 - Reviews: 74 - Favs: 129 - Follows: 48 - Updated: 07-20-07 - Published: 05-06-07 - Status: Complete - id: 3525286

Here is the HTML if you do not want to look at the site link...
  1. <span class="xgray xcontrast_txt">Rated: <a target="rating" href="http://www.fictionratings.com/" class="xcontrast_txt">Fiction T</a> - English - Adventure/Angst - Harry P. - Chapters: 7 - Words: 43,822 - Reviews: <a href="/r/3525286/">74</a> - Favs: 129 - Follows: 48 - Updated: 07-20-07 - Published: 05-06-07 - Status: Complete - id: 3525286 </span>
I have tried many different ways of getting this to store as a variable...
  1. $info = $('span.has(a[href="http://www.fictionratings.com/"])').text();
  2. $info = $('span.xgray xcontrast_txt').text();
  3. $info = $('span').eq(8).text();
Number 3 is the only one that works but if you use the code on other stories on that site it is not allways the 8th span sometimes it could be the 7th or 10th or what not. The second one I do not think is working be cause the site has a space in the class name.

So how can I get this as a variable?
