anyway i'm building an admin module that displays a table of reservations. each row has a "confirm" button that the admin will click once he has reviewed the reservation inline. i would like to use jquery to send this action to a coldfusion page without disturbing the interface and update the row once the action is complete.

i've been scouring the tutorial sites but i just don't know what category this falls under. or what it's called. can anyone point me to the right tutorial?
