CSS for table

Hello everybody.
I've just started to user jQuery UI and I like it a lot.
Only one thing I don't understand, why are there no style for table ?
I thinking about CSS for a basic table with a resultset.
I know I can add declaration for it but I'm just wondering why they
are not included in the default CSS.
