Cycle2 - Trigger CSS animations in active slide

Hi there,

I am using malsup's Cycle2 plugin for a simple slider.
Within each slide I have an animated svg which I want to run only when the slide is active.
And th rerun when the slide becomes active once more.

I thought I could use the class cycle-side-active as a trigger, but cannot get it to work.

Any advice?
