Datepicker: Selected date is today's date - Even when page loads with a date-value in the input-field

Datepicker: Selected date is today's date - Even when page loads with a date-value in the input-field


I have an issue with the datepicker, which is that today's date is the
one that appears to be default selected when I click on the input-
field for the date, eventhough the page loaded with a different value
in the input-tag.
