demo/documentation update on ui-dev
hi all --
I have some time to focus on updating the redesigned demo/
documentation pages, so I'm planning to review/edit/generally clean up
the descriptive content in the notes (directly beneath the demo frame)
and in the docs tabs below. In the latest design for these pages we
proposed reducing the notes so that they read more like a high-level
overview of the visible demo (in other words, a concise caption); any
detailed content, like code examples, should live in the appropriate
tab below (likely Options). If time I'll also take a look at the
markup examples in the Theming tab.
Since the tab content is being pulled from the wiki on jquery.com, can
I just update the content there? Or is there a better way to access
it?
I've also noticed when reviewing these pages that some of the markup
transformation needs a second look. For example, on several Overview
tabs the content is one big paragraph with sections separated by line-
breaks so some of the code examples and lists aren't being formatted
correctly. This markup should be structured in a semantically correct
way, like in the UI docs on jquery.com, where each paragraph is a
paragraph (no break tags). Scott J. and I have listed this and a
number of bugs related to these pages in the tracker (#3810-12, and
all bugs that start with "UI site demo-docs") -- please let us know
if anything is unclear. Jorn, do you have time to work on this?
Thanks,
Maggie
