dialog from a dialog

Greetings, i have a validate that uses dialog to give it's warning/message. I also have a dialog i am using to gather manual input from an select/option drop down.

If i validate the length on the dialog when it calls the second dialog it works well but then freezes up my screen after the message appears?

is there a way to do this?
