Does the jParallax plugin also work with a more recent jquery library than 1.2.6 ?

Does the jParallax plugin also work with a more recent jquery library than 1.2.6 ?

I 'm trying to combine multiple jquery plugins, including parallax. But when I use a recent jQuery Library, my parallax won't work. Does the parallax plugin only work with library version 1.2.6 or are there more recent library versions which i can use?
