Don't know how to implement check box idea

I'm wanting to implement check boxes kind of like the way gmail does theirs I'ts not for email but example:
the page has a list of accounts on the left I want check boxes and at the top of the page I want a "Select All" button but I also want to able to select single or multiple boxes and in the upper part of window I want a drop down list or action list to move these accounts to a group or user, or other options delete, move, undo
