Error with the size of pictures in albums.

Hi everyone,

I downloaded a theme and I am now testing it on localhost before uploading it to my webserver.
Unfortunately, it seems that it has some issue in showing the images properly in the gallery.
They all appear to be stretched or zoomed, no matter which size I upload them (1200x800, 1680x1120, etc)

Even the demo has the same problem:

Could you please help discover where the problem lays and fix it?
