Fade in slide down

Hi Forum,

Does anyone know how to recreate the fadeIn and SlideDown effect with text like on the Sony website:
http://www.sony.net/united/connectedworld/us/

If you can direct me somewhere or show me a simple example as to how to get it running so smoothly then that will big a huge help.
