Font size
Font size
Sorry for bombarding this topic with suggestions, I'm new to these forums and would love to stick around and help, but there are a few things that make helping more time consuming than it should be.
So this suggestion is about font size. It seems in most places on the site, the font size chosen is the smallest it could possibly be before bolding is not possible for the chosen font (which usually means 10 or 11px). This is just TOO small, and I find myself squinting often. If you read into it, you'll find that anytime you're squinting to read text, you're straining (and thus damaging) you eyes. A few hours on these forums and I can definitely feel it.
I know this, just like a lot of my suggestions, are all part of a template, but it still stands that just because they look good as a design, it doesn't mean that they are good for usability. I also know that you can resize text in your browser, but who wants to do that on each new tab (or each page load even)?
The font size used in the official forum announcement ("Coming Soon:") is good, it's large enough to read but small enough that it doesn't take up too much screen real-estate. But why then for the important text like the actual posts and these form inputs are we subjected to the tiny, "get my reading glasses out" size font? I'm under 30, but in my 15 or so years on a computer I've done enough damage to my eyes as it is. I don't need to do anymore just to come here to help others.
Thanks for reading my rant.
