Forum widths and usability

Forum widths and usability

Hi,

While the site looks nice, it would be more usable if it were a fixed width. When you're reading a long paragraph of small text, it's much more difficult for the eyes to track where the next line begins, when each line is full screen width.

If the page forum width were fixed at ~800px, the author info could be about 200px wide, and the message info about 600px wide. This would be much more usable.

Additionally, the texarea for inputting messages and replies should be as wide as the message area itself. I've noticed posts where single lines of code are broken into multiple lines because the textarea is so narrow (and does not scroll horizontally), yet in the actual post there was more than enough width to support that line of code. Also, I'm not sure if this is already the case but code wrapped in [ code ] tags should NOT text-wrap, it should scroll horizontally.

Thanks for reading.
