my $.getJSON method is not working, although $.get method works correctly.

Can you please have a look and tell me what I am doing wrong?

I find jQuery very hard ..... if things don't work they just don't work quietly... why doesn't it tell me what is wrong with my code?

To a newbie is there some advice on where/how to start debugging the code? how to get some error messages from jquery?
