When we set up the forum we left guest posting turned on.  As we were going through the daily moderation duties we were getting inundated with guest posts that we needed to constantly approve.  It was turning into a full time job.

In addition we were finding many double posts in the moderation queue.  One from guest then immediately one from a logged in user.  What was happening was the poster didn't know they were logged out till after they posted.

Finally,  it was getting to the point were the logged in users weren't sure if they were talking to the same guest poster or a different one in the same thread. 

With all these reasons the team decided to turn off guest posts.

We want to really step aside from moderating the discussion and make it more real-time.  There will still be a new user moderation period where the first few posts are moderated but after that you should be allowed to post as usual.

Again if you see any post that is inappropiate or spam use the links at the bottom of the post to make a moderator aware of the post and we will take a look.
