Hello,

I am a complete noob with jQuery and web development in general. I am trying to get some of the example widgets (in this case a slider bar) given on the jQuery site to work using the provided source code but they fail for seemingly no reason. I can copy and paste the source code listed under the widget into an HTML file and when I open it I will see a blank page. Why does this happen?
