Help mixing JQuery & Mootools

I am working on a simple image gallery with a vertical filmstrip, it works fine without the jquery added, but when I added the gallery to the template (artisteer) which uses jquery, everything seems to load, but I cannot seem to get the images to swap out. any help would be appreciated.
