I'm quite new to jQuery and Java in general, i am using some jQuery as below and have made a drop down list, with check boxes, they check boxes work, however, when i select a check box, the drop down minimizes on click, i don't want it to minimize until i click the close arrow/title like it expands when i click the open arrow/title.

Additionally is it possible to make the text have an onclick event to select the check box also, so users dont just have to select the box?
