Helping with jQuery UI


Hi there,
I'd like to contribute as well. I don't think I have the level of
skills/experience needed to contribute to the front end effort, but I'd
love to be involved in the backend/ download manager end of things. I
have done/learned quite a lot of PHP/MySQL and ASP classic/Access.
I'd like to help write a download manager which could be run from a
central repository or the developers' sites which would deliver just the
(script|plugins|CSS) required to render the site/page properly. I'd also
like to look into (incorporating|injecting) the plugin scripts directly
into jQuery just by using $.fn.extend(){plugin code here}; instead of
having the jQuery code and then $().fn.extend(){}(jQuery); for each
plugin. I'm guessing there would be a performance advantage by doing so.
Would that create an (issue|interfere) with what's there already? Would
I be stepping on anyones' toes? Who can I help?
