how can i create a div that always extend to bottom of the page

how can i create a div that always extend to bottom of the page

hi.
i need a jquery code to extend my div till bottom of the page, somthing like google map.
i set the height of my parent div "auto", and now i need a code to extend my child div to 100%.
can U help me?
